In a committee meeting held on 21/11/06, the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government) decided to create the Urban Development Master Plan for the River Ter Heritage Park. The Plan’s aim is to consolidate the cultural heritage linked to the economic activity of this river. This involves transforming the industrial colonies into residential spaces and areas of productive activity, for tourism and historical preservation.

At La Farga de Bebié, the colony’s complex orography, combined with continuous and maintained textile activity, have preserved the colony’s physical identity. However, the gradual aging of the industrial and residential equipment means that a global reform and consolidation operation is essential. These must be of outstanding quality and must promote activities in the area, for the sake of the colony itself as well as for the municipalities of which it is a part, and for the area as a whole.
