La Farga de Bebié December 2006
La Farga de Bebié’s history is largely connected to the Catalan process of industrialisation which took place throughout the Ter and Llobregat river basins in the second half of the XIX century and the first half of the XX. The importance of a water supply which could be used to provide energy, in the context of an industrial revolution without its own coal supply, led to the emergence of a colony with an extremely strong industrial identity, set in a singular landscape.
